Summer 1976 Anime

From the depths of the ocean, a colossal sea monster dubbed Dragonsaurus suddenly emerges and begins terrorizing the seas. Great Mazinger, Grendizer, and the Getter Robo G team unite to take on this new threat. However, their mission grows even more complicated when Dragonsaurus swallows Boss Borot and heads straight for Tokyo.

Suddenly, the peace of the world is thrown into danger by Mogool, an undersea stronghold resting on the ocean floor. Helqeen, the tyrannical ruler of the Mogoolian Empire, plots to conquer the Earth together with her devoted companions Goroskie and Zan-gack. Anticipating this terrible event, Dr. Yuri forms the Blocker Corps, organizing four powerful robots to oppose them, and brings together four individuals who possess the extraordinary ability called "elepath"—a power for piloting enormous robots. Thus begins a desperate life-or-death battle between the Blocker Corps and Mogool, as a long series of fantastic and magnificent clashes unfolds.

Manga Furusato Mukashibanashi presents Japanese folktales, featuring two stories in each episode. The series highlights tales drawn from various prefectures throughout Japan. Initially, the program ran for 18 episodes, covering 36 tales, before being canceled. It later resumed broadcasting with an additional 8 episodes, which contributed another 16 stories. The anime kept a family-friendly tone and was backed by the Seibu Department Store chain, which attached a "Seibu Family Gekijou" label to every episode, mimicking the well-known format of the Calpis Family Gekijou connected to the World Masterpiece Theater anime series.
