Born on July 15, 1992, in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, Kusumi Koharu (久住小春) is a former soloist and the sole seventh-generation member of Morning Musume within Hello! Project. She officially graduated from both the group and the project on December 6, 2009. Known by various nicknames including Koha, Kussun, Koha-chan, Koha-pink, Koharyu, Kohacchi, and Koha-rin—the latter used exclusively by her older sister—she comes from a family consisting of her father, mother, and sister. Her personal favorites include pink as her favorite color, kind men as her ideal partner, and umeboshi-flavored snacks, fruit, sweet dried plums, and natto as her preferred foods. She cites Morning Musume and Amuro Namie as favorite celebrities and Fujimoto Miki as her favorite Hello! Project member, having auditioned with the song Furusato. Kusumi's career within Hello! Project featured memberships in Morning Musume from 2005 to 2009, the commemorative unit Morning Musume Tanjou 10nen Kinentai in 2007, Kira☆Pika in 2007, and MilkyWay in 2008. She also participated in the concert unit Wonderful Hearts starting in 2006 and was a member of the Metro Rabbits H.P. from 2006 onward. Following her graduation, she continued her association with the franchise as a member of Dream Morning Musume from 2011.
