Synopsis

Fourteen-year-old Kirari Tsukishima is a stunning girl with an insatiable appetite. She couldn't care less about idols or the entertainment industry, as her thoughts are always on eating. Her fixation on food leaves her completely oblivious to romance. One day, she rescues a turtle stuck in a tree. The turtle's owner, a handsome, kind-hearted boy named Seiji, thanks her by giving her a ticket to a concert by SHIPS, a popular idol group. Kirari rushes off to the concert, but on the way she encounters another boy who rips her ticket to shreds, warning her to keep away from Seiji since the two of them live in different worlds. Furious, Kirari sneaks into the concert anyway, only to learn that Seiji—and the boy who destroyed her ticket, Hiroto—are both members of SHIPS. At last she grasps what "different worlds" means: Seiji is a famous idol, while she is just an ordinary middle schooler. Still, Kirari refuses to back down. Determined to be with Seiji, she announces that she will become an idol too.
