Catherine Wilder Disher, born on June 22, 1960, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a Canadian actress recognized for her Gemini Award win for Best Actress in the mini-series Snakes & Ladders. She also received a nomination for her portrayal of Dr. Natalie Lambert in the TV series Forever Knight. Within the realm of animation, she is widely known for voicing Jean Grey in X-Men: The Animated Series between 1996 and 1997. Her voice acting credits extend to the video game industry, where she provided the voice for Jill Valentine in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and Marvel vs Capcom 2. In anime, she contributed her voice as Mimete in Sailor Moon S. Disher completed her education at Phillips Exeter Academy in 1978 before attending the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. She was previously married to Cedric Smith, a co-star from X-Men, and the couple welcomed their son, Darcy Montgomery Smith, in 1993. Currently, Disher does not attend fan conventions or make public appearances.
