Marika is an energetic high school girl who divides her time between the space yacht club and working at a vintage café. One day, two men arrive and reveal themselves to be former subordinates of her late father. They explain that, according to a compact made during a war of independence a hundred years ago, she is now the rightful heir to the space pirate ship Benten Maru. Thus, Marika begins her journey as a space pirate, embracing this unexpected new chapter in her life.
