In "Maico 2010," Maico is the newest radio DJ in Japan, managing her career while also fending off assassins, overzealous fans, and meddling coworkers. Convinced she was created for the ideal broadcast, she does not realize she is actually a sexdroid, designed for intimate functions. Her creator, Otari Masudamasu, intended to produce something beyond a mere sex toy, striving for human-like characteristics. Despite her innocence and occasional shyness, Maico keeps exploring love and emotion. When she meets Rei—Masudamasu's earlier creation modeled after his late sister—a new chapter begins. Rei, once exploited by vicious handlers who tried to use her against Maico, now finds shelter and companionship. Together, they form the crime-fighting duo called the Cherry-Bombs.
