After suffering under their abusive father, siblings Utsutsu and Yume Hasegawa are left to fend for themselves. Utsutsu devotes himself to caring for his younger sister and maintaining a sense of normalcy. Their delicate peace shatters when Yume horrifically transforms into a monstrous creature and goes on a deadly rampage, feasting on human flesh. This drastic change is caused by a rare, mysterious virus named "Pupa." Though devastated by Yume's transformation, Utsutsu discovers he also carries the virus in a partial form, granting him extraordinary regenerative abilities beyond those of an ordinary human. Despite these new powers, Utsutsu remains determined to protect his sister, even if it means offering his own body as her food. Yet their struggles continue as they confront the dark mysteries behind the horrors that pursue them.
