After her lover betrays her, Chika falls into despair and attempts suicide. However, she is rescued by a man named Antonio, who helps her recover. Following this traumatic ordeal, Chika decides to spend the rest of her life as a matador. She makes a solemn vow: "I will become a bullfighter. By doing so, I will be able to die before my lover." Yet Chika has no idea of the harsh path ahead and the challenges she must overcome to pursue the life of a matador.
