Six months after the traumatic King's Game, Nobuaki Kanazawa, the sole survivor, transfers to a new school in hopes of leaving the painful memories behind. Having lost his friends, he now fears forming new bonds. His anxiety returns when he receives a text message announcing the start of another King's Game. Knowing the unforgiving rules—no withdrawal, mandatory participation for all classmates, and strict 24-hour deadlines—he urgently warns his new classmates not to underestimate the game's dangers, just as he and his former friends had done. His warnings go unheeded until classmates start dying for disobeying orders. Making matters worse, Nobuaki discovers that one of his classmates is also a survivor of a previous King's Game and is equally determined to play by any means necessary.
