In the magical realm of Jewel Land, magicians transform Jewelpets into gemstones to transport them through the enchanted forest. Ruby, a lively white rabbit, refuses to undergo this change. One day, a powerful gust of wind scatters the jewels being carried by a stork, sending them across Takaragaseki City on Earth. Consequently, the disciplined Ruby is sent to Earth to find her fellow Jewelpets. On Earth, student Rinko sees shooting stars from her balcony; one falls into her water glass and becomes a red jewel. The next day, while Minami and Rinko are out, they are saved by Keigo Taitō during a robbery at a jewelry store. Keigo explains that he works for a special organization linked to Jewel Land's magicians and tells them about the Jewelpets. After Rinko awakens Ruby and meets Alice, the group begins their mission to gather all the Jewelpets and return them to Jewel Land before the wicked Jewelpet Diana can seize them. As they progress, the girls discover more Jewelpets, but also encounter Dian, a Jewelpet with dark magic, who creates chaos in both worlds.
