After defeating a massive Earth battleship during the first stage, Hibiki and the crew learn that five more are heading toward Mejeiru and Tarahk. At the same time, the Nirvana's team discovers that their home worlds are endangered by the Karitori (reaping) and rush back to warn them. Along the way, they are joined by a girl named Misty, who brings troubling news about Earth's situation. The crew comes to understand that the true challenge still lies ahead. As enemy attacks intensify, the Vandread undergoes its ultimate transformation. Can they succeed in saving their home worlds, and what will become of the bond between Hibiki and Dita?
