By chance, the station where Aleksander works needs someone to handle incoming calls. Despite their physical differences—Emma delicate and Aleksander tall and imposing—a fragile bond starts to develop between them. This relationship defies simple labels, existing somewhere between friendship and romance, as if separated by a thin, transparent veil.

Background

Veil was originally a collection of images and manga released on the author's Twitter and pixiv throughout 2017 and 2018. The author would then release it as a fanzine for COMITIA 126 before re-editing it and having it officially be published by Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha on November 15, 2019. The series has been published in English by Udon Entertainment since June 3, 2025. It has also been released in French by Noeve Grafx since November 26, 2020; in German by Carlsen since July 2, 2024; in Spanish by Planeta Cómic since June 12, 2024; and in Italian by J-POP since February 26, 2025.
