In 1979, Shinjuku, Akutsu Jouji—a member of the Kaeda Yakuza—is defeated by a university cheerleading team and breaks down, begging for mercy. This humiliation sends his life into a severe decline. By 1989, a comrade is ordered to eliminate him, and while trying to escape, Jouji chooses to end his own life, closing the chapter on his troubled existence. But when he regains consciousness, he finds himself back in Shinjuku in 1979, right before the decisive encounter with the university students. With the advantage of ten additional years of memories and experience, he outsmarts and drives off the cheerleaders. Determined to turn over a new leaf, Jouji resolves to wear a golden emblem and blaze a fresh trail.
