Synopsis
In 1983, Shinjuku's Kaeda Yakuza member Akutsu Jouji suffers a humiliating defeat in a brawl against a university cheerleading team and breaks down pleading for mercy. This incident triggers a downward spiral that culminates in 1993 when a friend receives orders to kill him. While fleeing, Jouji takes his own life, ending his miserable existence. Yet upon waking, Jouji finds himself transported back to Shinjuku in 1983, moments before the fateful confrontation with the college students that spelled his ruin. Armed with an extra decade of memories and hard-earned knowledge, he outmaneuvers and drives off the students. Determined to reclaim his destiny, Jouji vows to carve out a reputation across the district and start afresh.
