Despite his physical shortcomings, he holds a strong passion for basketball, having trained his shooting skills since childhood. His goal is to grow as tall as his mother, who was a former basketball player. The circumstances surrounding his mother and how Sora adapts to his life at the new school are yet to be revealed.

Background

Following the release of the 44th issue of Shounen Magazine (Weekly) in October 2013, Ahiru no Sora went on an indefinite hiatus due to manga author Takeshi Hinata's poor health. The series resumed after five months in the 15th issue of Shounen Magazine (Weekly) in March 2014. The manga entered another indefinite hiatus in May 2019.
