In "Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de," Reiko Houshou, the daughter of a major corporate empire, seems like a typical rich young woman. In truth, she works undercover as a rookie detective at the Kunitachi Police Department, a role she keeps secret. Her direct boss, Kyouichirou Kazamatsuri, who hails from a well-known automobile family, is surprisingly bad at his job. Reiko successfully hides her detective work from him. When a case involving her college friends arises, Reiko struggles to identify the culprit and their motives. Then Kageyama, a new butler assigned to her, immediately points out her flawed reasoning after she shares her difficulties. Despite his blunt criticisms, Kageyama swiftly solves the puzzle. With his biting yet helpful advice, Reiko sees a path toward achieving her ambition of becoming a skilled detective.
