Takane Kiku and Takane Ryuji are the children of a celebrated boxer who once competed for the world championship. Kiku, the daughter, possesses a natural gift for boxing and works to ignite the same fervor in Ryuji, hoping he will rise to prominence in the sport. Ryuji, however, shows no interest in boxing and often endures bullying. After the family moves from their hometown to Tokyo, Ryuji's outlook shifts when he meets the boxing prodigy Kenzaki Jun. This encounter kindles Ryuji's passion for boxing, enabling him to hone remarkable abilities and take on powerful rivals as he strives to reach the summit of Japan's junior boxing division.
