Synopsis

Continues the story of Ring ni Kakero 1

In order to fulfill their dead father's wish, the siblings Kiku Takane and Ryuuji Takane aim for the champion title of the boxing arena. Kiku, as the sister, takes the role of trainer, while her brother Ryuuji devotes himself to his role as the boxer and mastering the Boomerang Hook technique. His battles against numerous rivals have led to Ryuuji's growth and maturity. The junior high boxing tournament has started, and Ryuuji will face his arch-rival, Jun Kenzaki. The battle begins.

In this installment

Right after Ryuuji Takane claimed victory in the Champion Carnival, the U.S. Junior Champion Black Shaft showed up and issued a challenge to Japan's top boxers just before the World Tournament is set to begin. Now Ryuuji, Takeshi Kawai, Kazuki Shinatora, Ishimatsu Katori, and Superstar Jun Kenzaki must demonstrate to both Black Shaft and the rest of the world that they are genuine world-class fighters ahead of the World Tournament. However, Shaft isn't recruiting ordinary boxers for his challenge—instead, he brings in a death-row lifer, the head of the Great Angels—one of America's most dangerous gangs—a mysterious woman, and the "Dark Emperor of the South." In addition, Shaft strikes a deal with Italian Junior Champion Don Giuliano, just to be prepared.
