Sakura Sakurakouji sees a group consumed by blue flames, while a boy watches emotionlessly from the sidelines. Driven by her strong sense of justice, she returns to the scene the next day, but finds no trace of the incident or any evidence. The following day at school, a new transfer student named Rei Oogami arrives and quickly becomes popular among his classmates. Sakura recognizes him as the boy from before and discovers that Rei is a Code:Breaker—someone who enforces justice outside the law. Rei firmly believes in retaliating with equal force, but Sakura is resolved to stop him from causing further harm, convinced that his methods are wrong.

Background

Code:Breaker was partially published in English by Del Rey Books, who published the first two volumes from July 27, 2010 to October 26, 2010, before they were taken over by Kodansha, and the license was dropped.
