Synopsis
Sakura Sakurakouji seems gentle and fragile, but she is actually highly skilled in martial arts and has a strong sense of justice. Her perspective changes dramatically when she sees people engulfed in blue flames on a bus ride home, only to have the authorities find no evidence of the event. Any doubt disappears when Rei Oogami—the person she witnessed committing murder—transfers into her class the next day. Despite his friendly and likable personality that wins over others, contradicting Sakura's initial mistrust, she discovers Rei's hidden identity: a Code Breaker, a rumored nonexistent operative. Using mysterious powers, Rei dispenses his own brand of vigilante justice. Unable to accept his methods, Sakura chooses to stay close to him, hoping to steer him away from his violent ways and prevent further harm.
