The story centers on Hirono Hiro, a high school student struggling financially and supporting himself by illustrating shoujo manga. On a cold Christmas Eve, after crossing paths with an unusual woman at a church, his bicycle is taken by a peculiar young girl. Chasing after her, he finds her lying on the street. She introduces herself as Miyamura Miyako, claiming her purse was stolen by a motorcyclist. As they begin to spend more time together, they come to appreciate their high school experiences. Additionally, Hiro's life is profoundly influenced by his childhood friend, Shindou Kei.
