Dragon Fist centers on Ling Fei-long, a Chinese exchange student residing in Japan. As the son of the White Dragon clan's leader—one of four mountain clans in China claiming descent from mythical beasts—he was banished to Japan after killing an ordinary person. His goal is to gain a deeper understanding of human nature and learn to restrain his abilities around humans. Published with a new volume each year over a span of twelve years, the manga displays a clear progression in Katayama Shuu's artwork, mirroring the artist's development throughout the series.
