Following the disappearance of the first manned expedition to Mars, a second team of explorers arrives. Their mission is to eliminate the cockroaches that were introduced to terraform the planet, but they are horrified to find these insects have evolved into massive, hostile humanoids driven solely by the urge to wipe out humanity. In response, every member of this crew has undergone the "Bugs Procedure," a frightening and experimental surgical process intended to grant them superhuman abilities.

Background

Terra Formars has been published in English by VIZ Media under the VIZ Signature imprint since July 15, 2014. It has also been published in Spanish by Editorial Ivrea since December 2013; in Italian by Edizioni Star Comics since February 8, 2014; and in Brazilian Portuguese by Editora JBC since July 2015. The series was adapted into a live-action film that premiered on April 29, 2016.
