Yurie Hitotsubashi is an ordinary middle schooler living in Onomichi, a coastal town along Japan’s Inland Sea. Her daily life revolves around worrying about exams and hoping that Kenji, the oblivious boy she has a crush on, will finally notice her. Then one day at lunch, she casually tells her friend Mitsue that she woke up as a goddess. Upon hearing this, their classmate Matsuri quickly seizes the opportunity to breathe new life into her family’s struggling Shinto shrine. By replacing Yashima-sama, the local but incompetent deity, with Yurie, Matsuri hopes to draw in more visitors. Now that she possesses divine powers, Yurie must figure out how to control and use them properly.
