Inari Konkon follows Fushimi Inari, who has a strong crush on her classmate Tanbabashi. One day, while trying to talk to him, she accidentally embarrasses him in front of everyone. Even after she apologizes repeatedly, Tanbabashi stays quiet. Things get more complicated when Inari finds out that Tanbabashi might like their classmate Sumizome, who is known for being very cute. While thinking about all this, Inari meets Uka-no-Mitama-no-Kami, a pale fox deity. The goddess is thankful because Inari saved a small fox spirit earlier, and offers to grant one wish. In a moment of desperation, Inari wishes to become Sumizome. But the wish doesn't go as planned. Uka-no-Mitama-no-Kami feels sorry for her but has to follow rules, so she gives Inari the ability to change shapes freely instead of breaking divine laws. With this power, Inari hopes to get Tanbabashi's attention, but she has to be careful—using it badly could bring trouble from the powerful Amaterasu.
