Back Street Girls: Gokudols

Three yakuza members are compelled to become idols in an unexpected turn of events, rising to fame. Under their boss's strict and domineering guidance, these ex-criminals receive a complete transformation and launch as the idol unit "Gokudols." In private, they persist with their yakuza lifestyle, engaging in drinking and gambling backstage, but on stage they project the image of earnest idols. This satirical and comedic look at the idol industry questions whether this reflects the reality of Japan's idol scene.
