In the town of Sezu, Kanata, a rookie soldier and trumpeter, begins her first assignment during a festival that honors the legendary maidens who vanquished a demon to protect the city. Before reporting to her new superior, she spends some leisure time enjoying the celebration, which quickly gets her into trouble. Will the novice Kanata step up and prove her abilities as both a soldier and a trumpeter?
