Houtarou Oreki is a high school student who prioritizes conserving energy, participating only in what he considers essential. When his elder sister coerces him into joining the Classics Club to save it from disbandment, he views this as a significant inconvenience. However, Oreki learns that the Classics Club already has a member: the curious Eru Chitanda. Soon after, his acquaintances Satoshi Fukube, known for his extensive knowledge, and the spirited Mayaka Ibara also become part of the club. Despite the lack of formal activities, Chitanda’s insatiable curiosity frequently leads the group into solving mysteries. The Koten-bu Series centers around the Classics Club members whose unusual daily activities start to infuse some color into Oreki’s otherwise dull lifestyle.
