As a child, Ritsuki took in a stray kitten and gave it the name Tama. He raised the adorable little furball, only for it to later reveal itself as a young beast-man called Shuri. But once they enter high school, Ritsuki begins to inexplicably keep his distance from Shuri, who had always remained by his side.
