NHK ni Youkoso!
Tatsuhiro Satou is a 22-year-old hikikomori who dropped out of college and has been unemployed for four years. To cope with his reality, he turns to hallucinogenic drugs, which fuel his many conspiracy theories—including one about a secret organization known as the Nihon Hikikomori Kyoukai (NHK). Tatsuhiro is convinced this group is behind his own seclusion and the growing number of recluses across Japan. Determined to fight against the NHK, Tatsuhiro tries to overcome his social difficulties. However, he soon discovers that even the simplest social interactions are an insurmountable challenge, leaving him completely overwhelmed. With the help of Misaki Nakahara, a mysterious woman who claims she can help him escape his isolated life, can Tatsuhiro truly change his existence for the better?

Background
NHK ni Youkoso! is the manga adaptation of Tatsuhiko Takimoto's novel of the same title published on January 28, 2002. The manga series was published in English as Welcome to the N.H.K. by Tokyopop from October 10, 2006 to September 16, 2008. VIZ Media republished the series digitally under the VIZ Select imprint from June 16 to December 9, 2015. It was also published in Brazilian Portuguese by Panini Comics from November 2010 to February 2012.
