Fumihiko Matsumaru is a 26-year-old single office worker leading an ordinary life who had arranged a movie date with a woman, but she cancelled on him. When he was about to throw away the unused tickets, a charming young woman stopped him and begged him not to waste them. They watched a movie together and then had dinner. While walking her home, Fumihiko saw that her apartment was on fire, leaving her without a place to stay. As a result, Aka Onda, a 20-year-old aspiring voice actress, ended up living with him. The two begin cohabitating in a relationship that wavers between friendship and romance, facing various hardships along the way. The series also includes one-shot stories: Volume 1 features "Gin no Machi Romantic" (Silver Street Romance, in two parts), and Volume 4 includes "HanaQ-ban Shin Angyo Onshi."
