One day, Kanoko meets Souma Iwai, a skilled but destitute detective. Impressed by her talent, Souma invites her to stay and work as his assistant at the Iwai Detective Agency. Combining Souma's deductive skills with Kanoko's lie-detecting power, the agency quickly gains fame for solving intricate cases. Through her experiences and the people she encounters while investigating, Kanoko's perspective on the world expands significantly.
