The all-female Garderobe Academy has a new student, Mashiro-hime, who conceals a critical secret: "she" is actually a boy. Fleeing a boys' school where he was despised, he took on the identity of the deceased Mashiro-hime to gain admission. Unfortunately, his royal status draws the lethal attention of a group called Shwarz, who are determined to kill him. Matters become more tangled because of his unexpected bond with Arika Yumemiya, who became his Otome to protect him from the assassins, making it impossible for him to dissolve their Contract.
