In a distant future, thick clouds cover the Earth, blocking out sunlight. Plants wither, and oxygen becomes scarce. To prevent extinction, humanity develops a method to transform people into plants, generating small amounts of oxygen. Toshiro Kamiya faces a painful choice: is this method sustainable, and is it morally right? He must decide whether to save his family or himself. Kamiya feels despair. His mother is gravely ill, and his job's wages barely cover her medicine, let alone food. With limited options, he begins considering floromorphosis, a life-altering process. Willing to sacrifice his body for money, Kamiya starts exploring the boundaries of a society losing its humanity.
