In the world of +Anima, rare humanoid creatures able to transform into animals face widespread rejection from ordinary humans. Cooro, a young crow-themed +Anima orphan, feels deeply alienated as he searches for acceptance. Raised as an abandoned infant in a church, Cooro has little knowledge of his heritage or that of his kind, despite the societal discrimination they encounter. Driven by this lack of understanding, he sets out on a journey to find other +Anima. Joined by his new allies—Husky, Nana Alba, and Senri—Cooro ventures forth to connect with other outcasts and discover a place for them in a harsh society. As these four +Anima travel together, their friendship grows, and their adventures seem endless. However, they soon realize that finding a true home might be more difficult than they first thought. +Anima follows Cooro and his friends through their trials and journeys as they battle against the difficulties and prejudices faced by their unique race.
