In a city that feels familiar yet just slightly off, Odokawa lives a quiet life as a taxi driver, ferrying a stream of eccentric passengers day after day. Without family or close bonds, his only nightly habit is listening to a Rakugo broadcast on the radio. His few acquaintances are his family doctor, Gouriki, and his former high school classmate, Kakihana. Among his passengers are Kabasawa, a thrill-seeking college student; Shirakawa, a nurse hiding her own secrets; the struggling comedy duo Homo Sapiens; the local tough guy, Dobu; and the rising idol group Mystery Kiss. These seemingly ordinary encounters slowly pull him into a mystery surrounding a missing girl.
