In the series "Private Teacher," the clumsy high school student Rintarou Noe struggles with his home tutor, Kaede Sumizome, and the strange feelings that arise when they are near each other. Determined to make Kaede stop tutoring him, Rintarou intentionally fails his exams. However, Kaede quickly uncovers Rintarou's ruse. Rintarou then claims he failed out of boredom, since he had been unable to go out or enjoy himself. Kaede, not accepting this excuse, even resorts to punishing Rintarou. What impact will these events have on their relationship? The volume also includes a one-shot titled "Yuuutsu Trickster" (2 chapters).
