Eve no Jikan
イヴの時間
In a future setting, likely Japan, where robots are common and androids have only recently been introduced, social conventions—shaped by the Robot Ethics Committee—require that androids be regarded as simple tools. Even though they closely resemble humans, androids are identifiable by a glowing ring floating above their heads. This has caused certain people, known as "android-holics," to develop an unhealthy emotional bond with them, which has become a recognized societal issue. Rikuo, a high school student, was raised to see androids as nothing more than convenient devices. Yet one day, he notices oddities in the activity records of his family’s household android, Sammy. Following Sammy’s movements, Rikuo and his friend Masaki discover a mysterious café that operates under one distinct rule: both humans and robots must be treated without distinction.
