After collapsing in the snow, clinging desperately to life, he is saved by Rikuou, who brings him to Green Drugstore—a pharmacy that deals in more than just ordinary merchandise. Kazahaya ends up working at the store, indebted to the owner Kakei for providing him with a job and a place to live. Kakei somehow knows about Kazahaya's special ability, and soon he and Rikuou are sent on occasional side jobs that require the use of their unique talents. As the narrative unfolds, more details come to light about the mysterious pasts of the two main characters. Why did Kazahaya collapse in the snow in the first place? And who is the enigmatic girl he keeps glimpsing within Rikuou's memories, and what exactly became of her?
