The narrative centers on three characters named Adolf. In 1936 during the Berlin Olympics, Japanese journalist Sohei Toge is devastated upon discovering that his sibling studying in Germany was murdered under enigmatic conditions shortly after disclosing information about a crucial document. Adding to his distress, all traces of his brother’s existence in Germany have been meticulously obliterated. Simultaneously, in Japan, a young man named Adolf Kauffmann, who is half-German and half-Japanese, along with his close companion, a Jewish-German boy called Adolf Kamil, are inadvertently entangled in this mystery. Their fates intertwine with the hidden truth surrounding the third Adolf—Adolf Hitler.

Vertical Inc. re-published the series as Message to Adolf in two omnibus volumes from August 28, 2012, to December 18, 2012.
