The narrative of "Sansha Sanyou" focuses on three distinctively amusing characters: Futaba Odagiri, an energetic transfer student; Teru Hayama, the class president whose sweet looks hide a surprisingly nasty personality; and Youko Nishikawa, a former heiress who, even after her family loses its wealth, clings to a queenly demeanor. Though their personalities differ greatly, these three unlikely friends form a close bond and face the usual ups and downs of adolescence with plenty of laughter along the way.
