Summary
Osakada Tomoka, also known as Tomo, is a student in Class 1-1 with a birthday on April 17. She serves as the president of the Echizen Ryoma fanclub and has a younger brother whom she must babysit. Unlike her best friend Ryuuzaki Sakuno, Tomo is highly outgoing and assertive. She is a self-proclaimed and very enthusiastic supporter of Echizen Ryoma. Although she desires to join the Seigaku female tennis club and attend all Seigaku events, her family duties prevent her from doing so. Tomo and Sakuno share the same class. When Tomo first appears in the anime, she questions Sakuno’s decision to join the Girls tennis club. However, after watching Ryoma play a match against Momoshiro Takeshi, she understands Sakuno’s motivation. Tomo actively cheers on Ryoma and his teammates during tournaments. During the match against Joushen Shonan and Rokkaku Middle School, she even created costumes for herself and Sakuno.
