Ikari, Daigo

Summary

Known as the ultra-delinquent "Prison Chain Ikari," Daigo Ikari is a silver-haired freshman who serves as a defensive lineman for the White Knights, often playing alongside Ootawara. Wearing jersey number 66 and capable of bench-pressing 120 kg, Ikari is kept in chains due to his irrational behavior, which stems from his immense pride in being part of Ojou High. He holds no respect for the graduated "Golden Generation," having never played with them, and frequently struggles with anger issues that previously prevented him from participating in games. His first outing against the Sankaku Punks ended in ejection after he attacked their coach for insulting Sakuraba, and he remained sidelined until the semifinal against Deimon. Despite his disciplinary problems, Ikari maintains a deep respect for Shouji, the White Knights' coach. During the climactic match between Ojo and Deimon, Shin proposed an all-out offensive strategy. Ikari finally broke free from his restraints without needing keys or assistance, allowing him to join his teammates on the field. His powerful blocked attacks triggered a memory in Juumonji, who recognized Ikari from middle school as a vicious and intimidating figure who wore a thick chain over his shoulder. Although Ikari claimed he never provoked fights during his four years at Ojo, this was a lie; his sensitive temper led to frequent suspensions. It was the reputation of Ojo's "Golden Generation" that ultimately motivated him to attend Ojou University and join the football team.
