Kirijou, Mitsuru

Kirijou, Mitsuru

Summary

Mitsuru Kirijou is the sole heir to the Kirijo Group, led by her father, Takeharu Kirijo. A seventeen-year-old Taurus born on May 8, 1991, she stands at 166 cm with Type O blood. As the student council president and top valedictorian of her school, she commands respect through both her academic prowess and her role as a seasoned Shadow hunter. In combat, she utilizes rapiers and sabers, while her Personas, ranging from Penthesilea to the ultimate Artemisia, specialize in powerful ice-based spells, establishing her as the most potent offensive magic caster in the team aside from the protagonist. Initially, Mitsuru recruits the protagonist into SEES alongside Ikutsuki upon recognizing his potential as a Persona-user. She begins the journey in a support role, providing analysis and strategic advice. However, she steps back from active battle duties once Fuuka Yamagishi joins the group, as Fuuka’s analytical abilities surpass her own. Despite this, she remains a central figure in the narrative. Mitsuru is also a potential romantic interest for the protagonist; winning her heart requires the player to maximize the intellect stat and achieve first place in class exams. A successful relationship helps the protagonist assist Mitsuru in breaking free from the heavy expectations tied to her family name. While she does not appear in the anime sequel Persona -trinity soul-, a young girl resembling Mitsuru appears in the first episode, mimicking a gesture made by the protagonist near the end of the original game.
