Summary
Akari Shinohara was Takaki’s best friend during their elementary school years. She harbored a strong desire to attend the same junior high school as him, but circumstances beyond her control intervened. Due to her parents' occupational requirements, she was forced to relocate to Tochigi upon completing elementary school. Despite the distance, she and Takaki maintained their connection through the exchange of letters.
