Bogard, Terry

Summary

Hailing from the fictional Southtown, Florida, a locale featured in numerous SNK titles, Terry is the adopted son of Jeff Bogard. During his youth, he witnessed his father’s murder at the hands of Geese Howard. While his brother Andy departed for Japan to train, Terry remained in Southtown, blending his father’s techniques with the rough skills acquired from street life, delaying his quest for vengeance. Years later, the crime boss Geese Howard organized The King of Fighters tournament. Terry, alongside Andy and Muay Thai Kickboxing champion Joe Higashi, entered to confront Geese. Terry ultimately defeated Geese, leading many to believe the crime lord had died in the clash. The following year, Geese’s half-brother Wolfgang Krauser seized control of the tournament, expanding its reach globally. Terry faced Krauser in the finals and secured another victory. Eventually, it emerged that Geese had survived. Learning of Geese’s plot to obtain the legendary Jin scrolls, Terry challenged him once more and emerged victorious, forcing Geese to flee. Terry fought through the remainder of the tournament, overcoming opponents like Yamazaki, before facing the Jin brothers. As the champion, he celebrated his win, but Geese had escaped with the scrolls. In the events of Real Bout Fatal Fury, Terry advanced through the tournament to face Geese in a final showdown. At the climax, Terry knocked Geese off the edge of Geese Tower but attempted to save him by grabbing his hand. Geese severed Terry’s grip and fell, presumed dead. Sometime around this period, Terry encountered Rock Howard, Geese’s son, taking him under his wing and traveling the world together while teaching him to fight.
