Summary
Confined to a hospital bed since birth due to severe physical defects, Rico’s life took a drastic turn when her parents surrendered her guardianship to the SWA on her eleventh birthday. Following a cybernetic procedure, she was granted a new lease on life and developed a deep affection for her new mechanical body and her existence within the organization. She approaches every day with a grateful and cheerful attitude, viewing it as a blessing, even though her handler, Jean, treats her more like a machine than a person. Rico remains the sole individual with clear memories of her past, specifically recalling her time in the hospital, the constant arguments between her parents, and her father’s place of employment.
