Calvados
Summary
Calvados serves as a sniper for the Black Organization and operates under the direct partnership of Vermouth. His involvement in their schemes is marked by a clear infatuation with her, a dynamic that Vermouth exploits to her benefit. He also seems to share ties with fellow snipers Chianti and Korn, with his preferred armament being a shotgun. During the incident at Beika Airport, Vermouth contacts Calvados to assassinate a specific target once within sight. He is subsequently dispatched to the docks to assist Vermouth, who had already deceived the FBI agents into leaving, in eliminating Jodie. Calvados wounds Jodie in the stomach and, as he prepares to execute Haibara, is interrupted by Ran emerging from the trunk of Jodie’s vehicle to shield the child. Ignoring Vermouth’s command to cease fire, Calvados attempts to shoot Ran but fails to hit her. His assault is halted only when Vermouth fires a warning shot in his direction. Following this encounter, Akai Shuuichi incapacitates Calvados by breaking both of his legs and confiscates his rifle, shotgun, and three handguns. To prevent interrogation, Calvados takes his own life.
