Summary
Thomas Platinumburg serves as one of the twelve Directors within Academy City and acts as the financial backer for the anti-organization ITEM. After sustaining severe injuries at the hands of Accelerator, he sought revenge by hiring the mercenary Stephanie Gorgeouspalace to eliminate him. However, the mission took an unexpected turn when Stephanie discovered that a close friend of hers had been harmed by a member of ITEM. Realizing that Platinumburg was the one funding the group responsible for her friend's injury, she shifted her target and decided to assassinate him instead.
