Summary
A resident of Rush Valley, Paninya lost her legs and right arm in a train crash at a young age. Dominic took pity on her by providing free automail limbs, including a left arm in the anime version. She uses her enhanced legs to run at high speeds and jump great distances. One leg conceals a cannon or carbine rifle, while the other hides a switchblade or long blade. Winry brings Ed and Al to meet Dominic at Paninya’s request. Paninya originally made a living pickpocketing tourists to pay for her prosthetics, but a conversation with Winry led her to realize that criminal behavior undermined the kindness Dominic showed her. She subsequently took on legitimate odd jobs, working around Garfiel’s shop or as a roofer. Dominic, who lives in the mountains of Rush Valley with his wife and son, adopted her and consistently refused to accept her stolen money. After reforming, she began working honestly, and Dominic reluctantly started accepting her payment. In the anime, she damaged her automail arm in a wrestling contest and was later seen helping Winry refine her skills.
